Terms of Use
Effective October 1, 2026
Lucy is software provided by Tek Hubs LLC ("Tek Hubs", "we", "us") to healthcare practices ("Clinics") to check patients' insurance benefits, prepare and send claims, and follow up on payments and faxes. These Terms of Use govern your use of Lucy at hirelucyai.com when a Clinic or Tek Hubs gives you access.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By signing in to Lucy you agree to these terms and confirm that your Clinic has authorized you to use it. Your Clinic's agreement with Tek Hubs, including any Business Associate Agreement, also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms, the Clinic's agreement controls.
2. Your account and signing in
- You sign in with the Google account your Clinic's administrator added for you. Lucy has no separate password for you.
- Keep your Google account secure, and turn on Google's 2-Step Verification. Do not share your sign-in or let anyone use Lucy as you.
- Tell your Clinic's administrator, or us at info@lucyai.dental, at once if you think someone else has used your access.
- Clinic administrators are responsible for adding people who need Lucy and removing them promptly when they no longer do.
- For security, Lucy signs you out after 15 minutes without activity, and after 12 hours in any case.
3. Patient information
Lucy holds protected health information ("PHI") on behalf of your Clinic. Use it only for your Clinic's treatment, payment and health care operations, and only as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") and your Clinic's policies allow. Tek Hubs handles PHI as your Clinic's business associate, under its Business Associate Agreement and as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- look at or use information you are not authorized to see, or use Lucy for anything other than your Clinic's work;
- try to get around Lucy's security, test it for weaknesses, or reach parts of it you were not given;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer Lucy, or overload or disrupt it;
- upload malicious code, or use Lucy to submit claims or information you know to be false; or
- use Lucy in a way that breaks the law or an insurer's rules.
5. Billing decisions stay with the Clinic
Lucy shows information returned by insurers and clearinghouses and points out things to check. It does not guarantee coverage, payment, or that an insurer's information is accurate or complete. Your Clinic decides what to bill and remains responsible for the claims it submits and for following insurer rules and the law. Lucy does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
6. Our service
We work to keep Lucy available and accurate, and we may change, improve or retire features over time. Lucy may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
7. Ownership
Lucy, including its software, design and content, belongs to Tek Hubs. Your Clinic's data belongs to your Clinic; we use it only to provide Lucy to the Clinic, as its agreement and our Privacy Policy describe.
8. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend access that puts Lucy, its data or other users at risk, or that breaks these terms. Your access ends when your Clinic removes you or when your Clinic's agreement with Tek Hubs ends.
9. Disclaimer
Except as your Clinic's agreement with Tek Hubs provides, Lucy is provided "as is" and "as available", and, to the extent the law allows, Tek Hubs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, and except as your Clinic's agreement with Tek Hubs provides, Tek Hubs is not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of Lucy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell Clinics about material changes. Continuing to use Lucy after an update means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
